As your President, I will develop and drive policy focusing on increasing farm income and
securing a future for the next generation of farmers:

• Beef/Suckler –higher prices and increased direct payments.
• Dairy – maximising milk price and tackle environmental constraints.
• Sheep – strong lamb prices and a €30 per ewe direct payment.
• Tillage – viable prices and a crop insurance option.
• Environmental Scheme – target payment of €15,000, open to all farmers including organic farming.
• Costs – tackle the high costs of inputs and doing business.
• Farm Family – safer farms, mental health supports, childcare supports and recognition of the homemaker.
• Diversity – increase role for women and young farmers.
• Animal Health – overhaul and reduce the costs of TB and other schemes.
• Labour – increase availability through reduced red tape on visa applications and support for accommodation.
• Retail – fairer share of the retail price for all farmers including pigs, poultry, horticulture and potatoes.
• Renewables – increased access and benefits for farmers.
• CAP – restore farming as the key policy focus in CAP.
• Brexit – farmers must be protected against UK trade deals.
• Forestry – eliminate bureaucracy and restrictions.
• Hill Areas / Land designations – no further designations.
• Horses – targeted funding to support small breeders.
• Tax – lower taxes and protection of agricultural reliefs.
• Farm Schemes – strict payment dates and delivery of all schemes including TAMs.
